Art Talks: Culture Fancier Interviews Janice Reid

Earlier this year I interviewed two artists as part of the Art Talks series. The series was produced by Artifier and is in partnership with Artifier, Partial, and Culture Fancier. Artifier is a Toronto based art blog and directory created with the mission to help make art more accessible. Partial is a curated online directory of noteworthy, independent artists.

My first interview was with Janice Reid. Janice Reid is an emerging portrait photographer based in Brampton, Ontario. Her work focuses on the Black female subject, innovations in fashion and the urban landscape.

This very special conversation touches on the importance of creating spaces for underrepresented and emerging artists, connecting with our origins and continuing to perfect our practice.

Watch my conversation with Janice here.
